G & A Fabrications

Historic Racing Car Restorers

Company history

Lawrence Kett, the proprietor of G&A Fabrications, completed an apprenticeship in panel beating and sheet metal work with British Aerospace, then realised his real vocation was with cars and so he got a job at Autokraft. Autokraft were an AC Cobra restoration shop, parts supplier and replica manufacturer and over the nine years that Lawrence worked there he developed many skills and became aware of the restoration industry’s growth. Feeling as though he had acquired a substantial amount of knowledge, he took the big step and left to start his own business with the support of his wife, Wendy, and so G&A Fabrications came to life in September 1990.

The phrase “quality is paramount” will forever be the driving force of G&A Fabrications, as Lawrence’s infectious work ethic ensures the highest quality work is produced from this workshop, and is mirrored by the whole team.

The first workshop where G&A Fabrications was born quickly became too small, as the word of mouth from happy customers spread fast and so the one man company grew into what it is today; a 6 person strong workforce. He moved into the current premises in 1992 and never looked back, as this successful business continues to thrive with the overlapping skills from each member interlocking into a well rounded company with lots of services to offer.
